Crater Map Pack
A downloadable map pack
A pack of sci-fi or modern day hex maps, designed for use with VTT software. Initially intended for use with the Lancer RPG, but they should be generic enough to use for any system.
Crater continues the theme from Canyon Road, but takes us into a lush, verdant jungle nestled deep amidst the arid mesas. High ridges provide a backdrop for sniper battles, and the dense foliage can conceal any number of covert assault plans - with a landed dropship and small settlement providing an objective to attack or defend.
The pack includes a 40x30 hex mega-map (shown above), two 20x30 hex half-maps - similar to Battlemech map-sheets and two mini-maps - The Descent from the desert to the crater floor, terminating in a chokepoint over the river, and Base Assault; a 20x20 map focussing just on the dropship and its environs - also available by itself as a free download. In addition, I've thrown in the dropship itself as a separate asset.
The scale used is 150dpi, with each hex being 150 pixels high, and 174 pixels wide.
The 'no-grid' and 'clean' versions have the hex-grid removed. The clean version has also been scrubbed of the height/terrain labels.

I tried to print this on a large scale printer, is it possible to get this as a PSD file or as a PDF that can preserve the font? Or barring that, something at 600 DPI?
I'm afraid that would require quite a bit of re-working, and my computer would slow to an absolute crawl rendering it. Maybe there'll be the option of higher-res versions in future, but it would take a lot of work right now.
not even as a pdf? I could make a pdf print really nicely as the txt would be fonts vs pixel art. no worries if you can't I'll still print it without the txt and go from there. Keep up the amazing work tho. I love a beautiful map.
